Latte the Horse Coaster

 Meet  Latte the horse coaster!

This horse coaster makes a great conversation piece for your beverage breaks with friends. It also makes a great gift for pony lovers!

I designed and wrote this crochet pattern so others could make these adorable coasters. Use different colors and create a crochet horse herd of your own! You could also add wings or a horn for mythical equines! If you add yarn around the hooves, you can make a draft horse!

This pattern includes:
US written English
12 pages of detailed instructions and pictures
Stitch Abbreviations and a symbol key
Stitch tutorial pictures for invisible decreases
Two sizes of coaster body (one for bigger mugs and one for normal cups)

The sizes do depend on the yarn and hook you use and tension. If you can Magic Ring, chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, increase and decrease, you should be able to make this coaster. Some pieces will be sewn on.

I used 100% med 4 worsted cotton for the coaster. I would recommend this on the coaster body, it keeps the "coaster" part stiffer. You can, however, use a softer cotton that matches for the head and legs if you like. Optional: If you use a smaller size yarn (3 for example), I would double the strings to make the body, then single for the rest.
